Congratulations
to the Simano family of Lockport, NY. They recently adopted "Starr," a
thoroughbred mare rescued by Tender Mercy Equine Rescue four
years ago. Starr was pregnant at the time of her rescue and
did go on to deliver a healthy colt who has gone on to a
great home as well. Best wishes to Starr and her new family.

Lindsey
Thurber of Oakfield (left) and Deborah Klotzbach of North
Pembroke (right) each won the championship title in their
Fitting and Showmanship class at the Bridle Path Manor
Junior/Amateur Horse Show held May 15, 2005 in the coliseum
at the New York State fairgrounds. Lindsey
competed in the junior division and Deborah competed
in the amateur division.
Due
to the death of Deborah’s show horse, Lindsey
offered the use of her horse, Sifted Flower, to Deborah
to show in her class. Deborah exited her class with
the first place blue ribbon and then handed the horse
to Lindsey to go in the next class in which she also
exited with a blue ribbon. Lindsey went on to compete
throughout the day placing third in Jr. Western Pleasure,
Maiden Western Pleasure, and Junior Trail. She also
placed sixth in Junior Equitation and Open Disciplined
Rail.

Jane
Hosack of Wellington, FL and her wonderful horse "Montreal" ("Yogi" to
his friends!) This pair won numerous awards and championships
all over the US!! Yogi is now retired and lives with
his best pal, "Shorty" at Bay Creek Hunters
in Akron, NY.

at a jumper show in western NY.

Melanie
with her Brazilian horse, Mucuim, as she explores the Savannah
Wetlands in Roraima, Brazil. She was there for her Master's
degree.
